Apple Cider
Our first batch of apple cider didn't turn out exactly like we wanted it to. It tasted more like wine than a cider. So we decided to try another recipe for cider and hope it turns out better :) This is more of a cider drink than a traditional hard cider. I made a gallon of wort to add to 4 gallons of apple juice. I think this one will turn out more like what we wanted.
Ingredients: clean fermenting yeast, 1/2 pound crystal 60L, 4 gallons apple juice, 1 gallon of water, 1 pound amber DME, 1 pound light DME, 1/2 ounce of cascade hops (yes we are going to try hops in our cider!)
